WHAT IS BIODIESEL

* Biodiesel has emerged as a realistic and desirable alternative or blended addition, to mineral diesel and is becoming an increasingly valuable contributor to the global vision to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. It has been in general pure use for the last 10 years in continental Europe.

* Besides the cost reduction benefits, this environment-friendly fuel reduces exhaust emissions, visible smoke and noxious odours. Because biodiesel is non-toxic, biodegradable and non-flammable, handling and storage are safer than conventional petroleum diesel fuel.

* Biodiesel is a cost effective, clean burning alternative fuel and will reduce our dependency on foreign oil, create domestic jobs, reduce impacts on our health and the environment, and stimulate the rural economy.

* Our biodiesel is produced from renewable resources using locally sourced waste cooking (vegetable) oil that combusts in the same way as conventional mineral diesel.
