BIODIESEL
(Go Green Biofuels Terms and Conditions for the use of Biodiesel B100 and any blends)
Go Green Biofuels aim to provide clear and concise guidance on the use of Biodiesel. Our terms and conditions below set out what you need to be aware of and the actions you may need to take when using Biodiesel. Go Green biofuels accept no liability for the use of Biodiesel in your vehicle and you, the customer must satisfy yourself that Biodiesel is compatible with your vehicle.
Initial usage We recommend that when you first use Biodiesel you introduce the fuel to your vehicle on a gradual basis. (Not more than 50%) mixed with normal mineral diesel.
Suitable vehicles We recommend that you consult with your vehicle manufacturer to ascertain the impact using Biodiesel may have on your warranty.
Filter changes Biodiesel is a great solvent and lubricant and will clean out any sediment in your fuel tank deposited by your mineral diesel. We therefore recommend that you change your fuel filter after approx 500 miles.
Hoses and seals Certain vehicles have rubber hoses and seals, which can be degraded by the solvent cleaning properties of Biodiesel. We recommend that you check with your manufacturer to ascertain any potential problems.
Winter Procedures We recommend that you run your vehicle on a 50% mix of Biodiesel unless advised by your manufacturer to the contrary. In really low temperatures Biodiesel can become more viscous which can result in starting problems.
Please contact us for any further information and we will be happy to help in any way we can. |
